Registration Confirmation Process

Upon registration for the APAA Council Meeting please be advise the following process will occur:

For all online registrations, an automatic email will be generated and sent after the form has been completed to acknowledge your information has been received. In approximate 7 working days, a further email confirmation will be sent confirming registration and payment. If your registration is not paid, you will receive a not paid reminder.

For all hard copy registrations received, an email (if email address is provided) confirmation will be sent confirming registration and payment. If your registration is not paid, you will receive a not paid reminder.

 

Post Conference Tours Programme

The following Post Conference tours have been specially designed by Tour Hosts Destination Management (license No 2TA001144) for participants of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association 54 th Council Meeting. If you would like to participate in one of the Tours, please complete the appropriate section of your Registration Form.

POST TOUR A:

Reef and Rainforest

(5 days/4 nights)
21 – 25 November 2007

North of Cairns you’ll discover one of the most beautiful regions of Australia. Here, at the meeting point of an ancient rainforest and the Earth’s largest living coral structure, slow to a unique rhythm found only in Tropical North Queensland. Based in Palm Cove, highlights include swimming and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef and seeing the beauty of the World Heritage listed Daintree rainforest.

Flights to and from Cairns are not included and need to be booked by participants.

POST TOUR B:

Australia ’s Dramatic Red Centre

(4 days/3 nights)
21 – 24 November 2007  

Called the Heart of the Nation, the Red Centre is arid, dramatic, vast, a land of extremes and home of Uluru (Ayers Rock), Australia’s spectacular monolith. Participants will also discover other geological wonders such as Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), Kings Canyon and more. Explore the base of this huge monolith, view a magnificent sunrise and discover its significance to the Aboriginal people.

Flights are not included and need to be booked by participants. Flights should be booked into Alice Springs on the 21 st November to arrive no later than 12.00pm, and ex Ayers Rock on the 24 th November to depart no earlier than 1.00pm.

POST TOUR C:

Railway The Ghan

(4 days/ 3 nights)
21 – 24 November 2007 

The Ghan is a living legend in Australian history. Experience the most fascinating great train journeys of the world with 2 nights aboard this great train. Marvel at the spectacular Australian landscapes from fertile countryside surrounding Adelaide to the rusty hues of the Red Centre, onto the tropical splendour of the Top End. The Ghan is the ultimate journey through the heart of the continent. Trip begins Wednesday at 12:20pm arriving into Darwin on Friday at 6:30pm where guests will have an overnight stay. Tour begins in Adelaide and concludes in Darwin. Flights out of Darwin are not included and need to be booked by participants.

Single occupancy cabins shower and toilet facilities are located at the end of each carriage.

POST TOUR D:

South Australia : Kangaroo Island Wildlife Day Tour

(2 days/ 1 night)
21 – 22 November 2007

Depart early for a scenic drive south from Adelaide to the Fleurieu Peninsula, and join the ferry to Kangaroo Island. Visit Seal Bay, the only beach in the world where you can walk with a Park Ranger amongst a colony of wild Australian Sea Lions. Discover Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks, Admiral's Arch and Cape du Couedic where New Zealand Fur Seals frolic in the waters below. Enjoy an overnight stay on the island with dinner and breakfast included.

Airfares
Domestic airfares are not included in the ground cost of these tours. It is strongly recommended that you travel on the suggested flights to ensure you receive all components of the tour. Please contact the Conference Managers for detailed itineraries for tours, including recommended flights.

Maximum Numbers
The number of participants on ALL tours is limited and places will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment.

Minimum Numbers
All tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If minimum numbers are not reached, alternative arrangements or a complete refund will be made.

Cancellation Fees
Prior to October 8, 2007, a full refund will be given less A$200.00 administration fee; after this date no refunds will be available.

Late Fees
If bookings are received for post tours after October 8, 2007, a late fee of A$200.00 per booking will be applicable.

Another Post Conference Possibility

Adelaide is the home of one of the world’s great car rallies, held in the middle of November each year. The classic Adelaide is Australia’s foremost international tarmac rally for classic sporting vehicles. Four days of rallying, commencing in the CBD, by rare and priceless vintage and modern sports cars, is embellished by evening street parties and concerts.

Feel free to stay on in Adelaide for a few days to enjoy the spectacular. This year the Classic Adelaide runs from Wednesday 21 November to Sunday 25 November.
